Cyber Party
Last night was the virtual launch party for Bette Lee Crosby’s latest book release, What the Heart Remembers. I couldn’t imagine what a cyber party would be like. Well, it was fun and fast, taking place on its own Facebook page. Conversation after conversation would pop up, and it was a challenge to keep up with all of them. There were flash giveaways of different books and other items, and I was surprised to be a flash winner of another of Ms. Crosby’s books, The Loft.
After an hour and a half, my virtual eyes were closing. It was exhausting.
The reason this experience is worthy of note is because I’ll be hosting a similar cyber party, a Meet the Author, on Thursday, December 10, also on Facebook. I sincerely hope that this “seasoned citizen” is up to the task. I’m especially glad that it will only be one hour. I’m happy to give up that extra half hour.
Has anyone out there experienced a cyber party? Thoughts?
