Book Review: Sound Man, Glyn Johns

Because I’ve started writing a book about a family that includes a rock and roll sound man, I found this autobiography of an authentic rock and roll sound man, Sound Man, by Glyn Johns, sound man to The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and many other big names and famous albums.  The stories about the rock icons are nothing that the tabloids haven’t already covered.

I got some technical tidbits that will be useful to me, and the author’s story is certainly compelling.  But this book is BORING.  The author managed to take a fascinating subject and make it BORING!  The book gets three coffee beans because it’s factual, and you can’t argue with facts.

If you’re a biography and autobiography lover, as I am, pass on this one.
